Family Policy

We carry out practice-oriented research from the perspective of families, with the aim of strengthening their functioning and well-being. We often work in dialogue with policymakers and organisations in the professional field. Based on our research, we often make specific policy or practice recommendations for social professionals.

At the same time, we critically examine whether policy and practice also sufficiently make the 'family reflex'. Do policy and practice think sufficiently about that multifaceted phenomenon we call family? Are they always aware that measures and interventions converge at the family level, and can be both compensatory and reinforcing at that level?
